forgiveness Thursday I forgive my dog for costing me $2,500 in vet bills in the last 3 days. I would spend down to my last penny, sell my house and live under a bridge with him if necessary, tho, so no big deal.

seems that he will be, yes They are still waiting on lab tests to come back but he has been improving daily. He's been at UC Davis since Tuesday night but should be able to come home this evening.

if you don't mind me asking what happened to him

at first it seemed he had been poisoned with antifreeze (one vet got x positives on tests for ethylene glycol). But UCD has been unable to replicate those results. Now it seems it may have been something else which made him vomit for x hours and gasp for air and have a hard time swallowing and salivate profusely. They are not sure - radiographs and xrays showed nothing abnormal but his esophagus is irritated and inflamed. He is currently on IV fluids and IV stomach coaters and meds for his esophagus. It is all somewhat of a mystery but since he has been steadily improving, they are going to release him and then I will watch him at home and hopefully he will just continue to improve.
