Dear campers, I'm going to go camping. I have been camping before, with people who know wtf they are doing. This time, I have no such person (well, it is a group organized thing, but I'm going solo). What do I need to know? I'm renting a tent and the group provided a list of things to bring, and meals are provided... so really a lot of stuff is being handled.. What are noobie errors when it comes to camping?

awesome stuff. I am making notes and adding to my provided list. No foodstuff was mentioned, and I figured I'd need or want snacks. I don't believe it is a bear area.. whew!

I would also suggest you set the rented tent up to make sure all the parts are with it and give it a test run. Grab some silicon spray and spray it all down really good on the test run and even some seam sealer if you want to go crazy.... it can really save your trip if it rains.
