what if it's for a clawfoot tub? I suppose since it's on the outside that it's easier or no?

should be, yes, just make sure your hardware fits your valves because they don't have reducers that are easy to install or find.

depends. are we talking about changing out a faucet or actually putting the pipes in for the whole enterprise? if you're just changing out faucets, kitchen sink and dishwasher install is much easier, but i've never changed tub plumbing.
