Hypithetical Question for Everybody Have you noticed all the gay bashes all over the country lately? So that kid in NJersey jumped off the bridge too. So we are all here and we are supposed to be bonding against that kind of thing. But I have noticed since I came in the forum yesterday several of you are kin of cruel to that kid who comes in here always asking to meet people. Like he seems very lonely and none of us don't know his mindset but still are mean to him. So what if he is like...right at the edge? Then what if he jumps off a bridge or something crazy like that? And then what will we then talk in here about what a shame it was and how it is the str8 peeps fault? He seems like a nice kid. Maybe we should just try to help him instead of being cruel. We've all been thru that enough right? What you guys think?

I reached out to the dude pretty sincerely several times and got nowhere, but I thought similarly. With the rash of suicides going on around the country, I didn't want to play a part in causing him any issues...so I just opted out of the discussion. A couple of days ago, though, someone posted some links to another forum where he was posting. He's been posting this exact same dilemma for over x years. Some of the things that were said to him there were truly horrid. If he wasn't pushed over the edge by that, I doubt the fairly decent people here could do it to him. I actually think it's way of interacting with people and he almost welcomes the abuse.

OR. Maybe you should give yourself a little MORE background on the issues ?? He HAS been given MANY MANY "recommendations" which he has ALWAYS FLAT OUT REFUSED in a quite arrogant and dismissive way. It seems his motivation is not so much wanting to meet someone , but just to WHINE and in so doing become the CENTRE of attention, for this impossibly narrowly defined parameters he has established for the friend "pet" he is hoping to acquire. jus sayin
